Being part of the community is one of the many Macro Properties’ values.  Macro Properties is proud to support communities is through our various grant programs, and fundraising initiatives.  This year Macro Properties has donated over $55,000 to community-oriented organizations and causes, and stand by the people who are part of our family.

Macro Properties grants are focused on the following areas: early childhood education, programs promoting academic success for Indigenous youth, programs supporting core needs, as well as parks and wilderness.

Here is a snapshot of our highlights from our 2022 Community Supports:

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Battlefords, North Battleford, SK

Macro Properties was proud to provide a grant of $6500 to the Big Brother Big Sisters of the Battlefords, a non-profit organization that provides support and mentorship for adults and youth. These mentorship opportunities provide participants with a strong supportive role model and opportunities to learn Indigenous traditions and connect with supporting networks, including Elders. The program builds confidence in participants by providing constancy in their lives and connecting them to broader experiences. This program plays a critical role in reducing the risk of vulnerable youth and adults with the ultimate goal or achieving better future outcomes. 

  • Battlefords Humane Society, North Battleford, SK

The Team in North Battleford held a community BBQ to help raise money for our furry friends at Battlefords Humane Society.  $400 was raised and donated to support animals in need.

  • The Kerrobert Wheatland Regional Library, SK

Macro Properties awarded The Kerrobert Wheatland Regional Library with a $2500 grant to use towards their Parent and Tot programs.  The program focuses on early childhood education programs which promote academic success and support early learning and child development.  The grant was used for author visits, book trails and coding programs.

  • Kerrobert Community BBQ, Kerrobert, SK

After a plough storm made its way through Kerrobert in early August, residents were left without power for several hours. The whole community pulled together to help clear up the fallen trees and debris the storm left behind. Macro Properties donated $500 towards a free community barbeque that helped feed those who were affected by the storm, to show the community appreciation and bring people together.

  • Nutrien Wonderhub, Saskatoon, SK

The Nutrien Wonderhub is a not-for-profit organization that aims to foster creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning in children and their adults, through hands-on exhibits, programming, and outreach. With the help of the Macro Properties $5000 grant, we were able to support the Access program which provided eligible community schools, preschools, and groups a fun, educational museum experience free of charge.

  • Grande Cache Community High School, Grande Cache, AB

Grande Cache Community High School and the SonRise Christian Program were the recipients of a $5000 grant for their Free School Lunch Program.  The goal of the program is to ensure kids don’t go hungry, support learning and healthy development. Nutritious food helps kids learn and focus.

  • Bonnyville Friendship Centre Foodbank, Bonnyville AB

A donation of $500 from Macro Properties and our Bonnyville office is collecting non-perishable foods for the Bonnyville Friendship Centre foodbank and pet food for the Bonnyville SPCA.

Other notable donations included the Emergency Childcare program at Haven Family Connections Inc, Saskatoon, SK, and the Action to Employment program run by The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. Saskatoon, SK.

With the funds that were awarded and fundraised, we are not only proud of our communities but also our staff who work so hard with the fundraising.
